Together with our community partners and friends, the Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County annually hosts a volunteer “marathon” with 26.2 hours straight of volunteering for a variety of projects in the local community. Each year the needs of our community are re-evaluated – projects may include cooking for local food pantries, organizing informational packets for community partners, sorting donated clothing and shoes, painting and beautifying, and cataloging archival items.

In 2018 and 2019 our Volunteer-a-thon was a huge success, with over sixty women participating in the event. The group volunteered over 200 “woman-hours” of work supporting six of our community partners.
