THE ENCHANTED CASTLE RETURNS OCTOBER 2026!

WHAT IS THE ENCHANTED CASTLE?

The Enchanted Castle is a community event where families travel through Fairfield’s Burr Homestead, in which six rooms are brought to life by storybook characters who narrate the tales of Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Jungle Book, and The Wizard of Oz. The Castle is designed for children 2-10 years of age, but is fun for the whole family! At the end of each Castle tour, families are encouraged to explore our Castle Cafe & Boo-tique for fun treats and refreshments! This event is The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County’s largest fundraiser, with funds going to support literacy and neighborhood efforts within the Greater Bridgeport Community.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

To make the Enchanted Castle possible, we seek the talents of kids ages 14+ for our acting and non-acting roles.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Acting Roles: Six rooms are brought to life by storybook characters who skillfully narrate the tales of Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Jungle Book, and The Wizard of Oz. Each room, with the exception of Jungle Room, has 2 characters that interact with one another and the visitors in the room. Each volunteer will be provided with a costume and concise character script to memorize. Proof of service hours will be provided following each shift

Non-Acting Roles: Roles include greeting guests at the entrance to the castle or serving as a tour guide bringing a group through the rooms. Each volunteer will have the option to wear a provided costume or Enchanted Castle t-shirt for their shift. Proof of service hours will be provided following each shift.
